What is PVC foam board?
PVC foam board, also known as expanded PVC, is a rigid sheet manufactured from foamed polyvinyl chloride. Its closed-cell structure, in which each internal cell is sealed from its neighbours, gives the board excellent resistance to moisture and keeps it stable in humid conditions.
At approximately half the weight of solid PVC, the board is easy to transport and handle, yet it can be sawn, drilled, nailed, bonded and thermoformed in a similar manner to timber. These properties make it well suited to cabinetry, wall panelling, signage and display fabrication.
