Where we began
Falcon Million started out supplying plywood, more than 30 years ago. We still supply plywood, MDF and 1" × 2" timber to local customers today.
Plywood is an engineered wood panel constructed from thin layers of timber veneer bonded together, with the grain of each layer laid at right angles to the adjacent layer. This cross-laminated construction provides strength in both directions, dimensional stability and resistance to splitting.
Applications include furniture and cabinet carcasses, shelving, floor underlay, site hoarding and concrete formwork.
Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) is manufactured by bonding fine wood fibres with resin under heat and pressure to form a dense, uniform board. Free from grain and knots, it offers smooth faces and edges that machine cleanly and accept paint and laminate finishes well.
Applications include painted and laminated cabinet doors, wardrobes, furniture components and wall panelling.
Sawn timber battens with a nominal cross-section of 1 inch by 2 inches, supplied for framing and general carpentry.
Applications include ceiling and partition framing, support battens behind wall panels and general site carpentry.
