HPL Laminate

What is HPL?

High Pressure Laminate (HPL) is a decorative surfacing material manufactured from multiple layers of kraft paper impregnated with phenolic resin, overlaid with a printed decorative paper treated with melamine resin. The layers are consolidated under high temperature and high pressure to form a dense, homogeneous sheet with a hard-wearing decorative surface.

Bonded to a substrate such as plywood, particleboard or MDF, HPL provides a durable, easily maintained finish for furniture, cabinetry, wall linings, worktops and interior doors. The printed decor layer faithfully reproduces timber, stone, concrete and textile aesthetics with consistent colour across large-scale projects, making HPL a cost-effective alternative to natural materials in commercial, residential and public interiors.
